Happy New Year!

Logan destroying Ashlyn's gingerbread disaster.

Yumm, sugar!

Sharing with his sister, isnt he the sweetest?

Hello everyone

Hope you all had a great holiday this year. Here are some updates on our family. The kids had a great time opening all their presents this year, although logan was much more interested in what was inside the package rather than opening it. He got lots of new trucks, a kitchen and some new pieces for his Thomas set. Ashlyn got new games for her wii and xbox as well as a bunch of new clothes. she is getting harder and harder to shop for as she gets older. My DH got my 4 new cartridges for my cricut, Pagoda, Paisley, my world and from my kitchen. Unfortunately he hid the pagoda cart so well that he cannot find it! I also won some money on scratch tickets that i got so i ordered the new Heritage and Sentimentals carts from memorymiser.com and am eagerly awaiting their arrival. We got to see my mom for a couple of hours on xmas day which was very nice, although she still was not at 100%, she enjoyed seeing the kids. As usual our christmas involves alot of jumping around from place to place, we have about 4 xmas's to celebrate every year and it can get a little overwhelming at times, but it was great to see my family.

Lots of birthdays coming up in the next couple of months, ashlyn turns 13 in a week, i cant believe she is going to be a teenager, where does the time go. Logan will be two in February and both my mom and dads birthdays are in january and february as well.

I have a few projects i am working on currently, though no pictures to post yet. I have a secret surprise for my daughter's birthday and also some "vintage" looking valentines that I will be looking to sell on ETSY when they are done.

Christmas Glitter ornaments with embossing.

Here are some pictures of the christmas ornaments i made for my family this year. I got the idea off of Joy's blog, through christmas with the cricut. Thank you joy you are awesome! For instructions on how to make the glittered insides refer to joys blog by clicking the link on the right of the page for "obsessed with scrapbooking" I think you can get it off of the "christmas with the cricut" blog also. For the outside of these ornaments I used the negative image cut from the cricut as a stencil. I applied versamark pad directly to the image and sprinkled on embossing powder. I then peeled off the stencil (very important to do before embossing) and applied the heat gun to the image. I think the results are beautiful and will make great gifts for my family this year. thanks for looking, have a great day.

DCWV music stack

Hello again

Here are some shots of the new DCWV music stack. Really beautiful papers. As soon as i saw this stack I started thinking of all the things i could make using the Hannah Montana cartridge with it. I'll post my creations later.

new shape books

hello
Well thanksgiving is over for this year and the christmas season is officially upon us. My family and I went out last night and picked out our christmas tree and tonight we got it decorated. We have a new 4 season/playroom this year (thank god) so that is where we decided the tree would live for the season. Usually it goes downstairs in our finished basement but the area where it goes is now occupied by my scrap nook. I love it on the porch it is so peaceful and beautiful, what a lifesaver having the extra space has made for us. here are some pics of the tree on the porch and two new shape books i designed and made. The second book is for halloween and is cut using plantin school book for the rectangle shape and i believe i mostly used paper doll dress up and a childs year for the accent pieces, as well as some premade stickies. the design is not my own, i saw something similar on one of the blogs i frequent and tried to copy as best as i could. The first book is a harvest themed shape book made with everyday paper dolls, plantin, happily ever after, animal kingdom and storybook. I got the idea for the design i believe from the bugjunkie blog, but i did change the elements when i designed it. thanks for looking and dont forget to leave a comment if you like it. sorry i have the first and second out of order, i forget that when i upload the photos they come in on top of each other and not under each other.

Hi everybody

Here is a quick thanksgiving card i made for the challenge over at bitten by the bug, Regina's blog. I used the cornucopia from paper doll dress-up and hand colored the fruit with gel pens ( i was feeling ambitious). I used design studio to weld together the phrase and image. I used storybook for the colored, layeredmats behind the cornucopia. thanks for looking, this is my first time entering something for the challenge, so be kind :)..

Baby shower favor cake

Hey everyone

Here is a photo of this gorgeous favor "cake" i made for my sister-in-laws baby shower. I used tags, bags and boxes for the cake boxes cut at 7 1/2 inches i believe. paper is from paper trey ink (cuts like butter on the machine). I also used paper dolls, everyday paper dolls and a childs year for the embellishments. the stork on top came from lyrical letters and the baby from stretch your imagination. this was so much work to make but alot of fun and i was very pleased with the end results. hope you like it.

Halloween.

Hi everyone!

This halloween was such a blast! Logan got to trick-or-treat for the first time and he did great. when the bowl was handed to him he reached in and carefully took out only one piece of candy, such a gentleman. Ashlyn went trick-or-treating with friends for the first time this year and we missed her, but she had a great time and we got to focus on going at logans pace. we went with two of our best friends, rick and janine and their two boys, jake and matt. Here are some pictures of the night and other halloween related photos from this year. enjoy.

Father's day cards

This is a card i made for my husbands grandmother. she is 91. my in-laws are heading back to Florida this weekend so they will deliver it for me. I made this using the new lyrical letters cartridge for the "feel better soon" phrase on the front and DCWV paper from the citrus stack for the pattern on the front.

This card was made for my father in law. He loves to golf and only does things his way. I found this cartoon online and it was perfect. in case you cant see it well, it is a bear putting the ball and he has dug a path from the ball to the hole. above this is says " do it your own way" . too perfect.

This is the card i have made for my father. I used storybook and paper doll dress up cartridges and the sayings are printed out on my computer.
